THE OBLIGATION OF THE PROFESSIONAL SKIPPER AND

THE HOSTESS DURING YOYR CRUISE IN GREEK TERRITORIAL WATERS

 

In order to ensure the max satisfaction of your clients we advise you the following terms and regulations which are in force locally.

The Skipper is the Captain of the boat [during sailing, manoeuvrings, mooring, embarking, disembarking etc ] thus everybody is oblige to follow his instructions and cooperate fully for the common safety.

The Greek law for sailing boats, length more than 30 feet, as well as the charter party agreement, dictates that in order the port police authorities to permit the boat to sail with safety the charters must demonstrates that at least two crew members aboard are holding valid sailing certificates.

The Skipper of the boat [ professional or not ] is fully responsible for, the boat, and the crew, as well as to any claims and damages to the boat and or her equipment [ dinghy, outboard motor etc.]
The Boat Owner is obliged by the charter party agreement to insure her for comprehensive and third party liability insurance.

The charters [ who also are listed in the crew list ] have been insured by the boat owner on third party liability basis on the boat insurance policy and up to a limit of E 300.000. The professional skipper and his deputy are not covered by the boat insurance.

This professional skipper is not responsible for cleaning of the boat neither food and or meals schedule preparation. These are responsibilities of the charters.

The skipper also agrees for the schedule of the cruise to be carried out provided the weather and the local conditions permits so.
The professional skipper and hostess are working 8 hours a day.

The charters are responsible for any damages they may cause in the interior and the equipments of the yacht during their cruise.

The Hostess assignments are: to clean the boat, to serve the breakfast, to serve the drinks, and to set the beds.

The Charters are entitled to pay for the foot of the Skipper and the Hostess either aboard or ashore.

Our effort is focusing to prepare your vacation as pleasant as possible and for this reason we obligation to explain above matters in detail avoiding misunderstanding.

There is a big different in the cost with the same pleasure if we compare a similar length yacht with a sailboat.

The professional Skipper has to moor the boat in the marina between 18.00-19.00 hours every day.
